More Than Hope is involved with many organizations and advocates. We help create, organize, and execute programs that serve Cannabis Patients. Recently we have started Lobbying in Lansing to fight 6 Tie Barred bills that would have a drastic affect on ALL cannabis patients.
The Michigan Cannabis Manufacturers Association (MCMA) is a cannabis industry association, representing nearly half of all multiple Class C cannabis licenses in Michigan.

House Bills 5300, 5301, 5302, 5319, and 5321 are all tie-barred to one another, which means that none of those bills could take effect unless all of them were enacted. House Bill 5320 is tie-barred to HB 5301, which means that it could not take effect unless HB 5301 were enacted.
House Bills 5300-5302 and 5319-5321 would limit the amount of plants and the number of patients that medical cannabis caregivers could serve under the state’s 2008 medical marijuana law. The bills would require caregivers to obtain a state license and also subject caregiver-grown cannabis to licensed testing. Cannabis sales from caregivers to patients would be exempt from taxes under the bill.
